1906 wedding photo of Victor Holm and Frida Sörkvist.
Victor had a large, colored version of this picture that always hung in his
living room over the sofa.

1936 Holm family gathering. Standing from the left: Svea Holm, Violet Holm
(wife of Carl Holm), Mabel Samson Treleavan, Aina Samson, Anna Carlson, Adela
Olafson, Aurora Holm, Victor Holm, Harold Whiteman (Violet's brother) ,
Maria Samson, a friend of Harold Whiteman, Ella Samson Cardinal and her
husband Ed, and Bud Samson (side to camera). Seated: Greta Holm, Charlotte
Holm, June Holm, Audrey Swanson (a neighbor of the Carlson's), Eleanor
Carlson, Alf Samson, and Dagmar Carlson. The picture was taken on Nanton's
Island in Lake of the Woods. It took 3 or 4 boats to ferry everyone to the
island.
The identifications were given in a note from Violet Holm.

This is Adela Olofsson and her children at a 1936 family gathering on
Nanton's Island in Lake of the Woods, near Kenora, Ontario. Left to right:
Maria Samson, Anna Carlson, Adela Olafson, Victor Holm, and Carl Holm.
(Alida Carlson was not present.)

This 5-piece band is from a postcard that my grandfather had. None of these
people ring a bell for me, but perhaps you might have a connection. The
printed text on the postcard is English so I think it was made in America.
On the back of the postcard is written in a combination of Swedish and
English, "from the left Magnus/ Eriksson, Aug, Karlsson/ Ronnmark, Umeabo,
Miss Kron." The "/" indicates where the line breaks are.
It seems to me that the identifications suffer from too many or too few
commas. It would make sense for the comma after "Aug" to be a period,
but it
looks like a comma. It also looks like there should be a comma after
"Karlsson".
