Parishes are marked with a + sign by the name. The others are farms or villages.  Villages are many farms close together. The yellow circles are towns.

In June 1999, Jerry & Colleen Longstrom went to Sweden, and then to the Mellerud Area to see where Colleens relatives lived, and are still living.  While there, we visited the the town of Mellerud and went through the museum that is there. We also took a little ride and visited the Brålanda parish, where Colleens great grandfather, Eric Magnus (Svensson) Swanson, was born. All of Erics siblings were born in the same parish.
The farm Backa qvarn, where Eric was born, is no longer standing, but two gentleman were working in the area and pointed out the place where the house was at one time.

In the records it shows the relatives living in many of these farms and parish areas.  They lived at Bön (farm) and close to the Ör parish, and Grinstad parish, and others.

Erics father Sven Engelbrektsson, was born at Jonsbråna (farm) in Järn parish.  His mother Kerstin Eriksdotter, was born at Klandret, Bolstad parish.

The rest of his siblings twins Eva & Maria, Jan Jacob, & Johannes were born at Jansbråna, Järn parish the same place Erick was born.

Sven Engelbrektssons father, Engelbrekt Svensson was born in Nåberlös, Stenby, and his mother Lisa Bengtsdotter, was born in Jansbråna, Järn.
