The Swansons here are descendants of Eric Magnus (Svensson) Swanson. and Elizabeth Levine.
Erics father was Sven (Engelbrektsson) Swenson, who moved from Sweden to Rockford Ill.
Sven is the brother to Jan Jacob (Engelbrektsson) Engelbert, 
who moved from Sweden to Bernadotte Mn.

John Levine (slide 6) lived on the farm in Sweden where he was born, until the age of 56.
He and his family landed at Baltimore Md. on May 24 1880. They went to Sharon Wi. where they made their home on a farm for two years. The family then went to Nobles county Mn. in the spring of 1882, and settled in Summit township where the home was made until 1919 when John Levine retired from farming and moved to Worthington. John died at Worthington Sept. 17 1926 age 102 years, 2 months, and 9 days. He is buried at Reading cemetery in Reading MN.
